It seems that some people are just naming their favourite strikers, not stating notable "Goal Poachers".

  • I've removed the prod tag from this, which said Unreferenced for more than six months. Arbitrary list with no references, seems to be a phony neologism.. It's by no means a neologism, it's an everyday term for a certain kind of footballer, and I found verifiable reliable sources for five of the players within a few minutes. I don't have time to do any more today, but I think I've established that this is a notable subject which certainly shouldn't be prodded. Phil Bridger (talk) 21:18, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
I decided to spend a bit more time on this, and I've found references for another 17 players in 40 minutes. Couldn't you try a Google search before putting on a prod tag? Phil Bridger (talk) 21:59, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Gary Lineker, formely of Everton!! Surely he is more famous for his Tottenham days, or even his Barcelona ones. Think this could be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.167.174.97 (talk) 16:50, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
