[edit] The device formerly known as the mobile phone
Go Bible is an example of an application ideally suited for the device formerly known as the mobile phone.
A Google search for "the device formerly known as the mobile phone" will show that this phrase has been used to emphasize how ubiquitous the mobile phone has become and how much wider has its use become than for merely making phone calls and sending SMS messages. Sir David Brown the chairman of Motorola Ltd used this phrase several times in the Mountbatten Lecture he presented at the Institution of Engineering and Technology at venues in London (2006) and Manchester (2007).
Visit iee.tv and search for 'Mountbatten' to see the video of his London lecture (November 2006). DFH 19:00, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Arguments against proposed deletion
The following arguments should be considered:
- Wikipedia already has a useful Category:Electronic Bibles, of which this is a notable new example
- The article is a stub, so it is early days - more time should be allowed for the article to be expanded further
- Although not yet as well known as older electronic Bibles such as e-Sword, Go Bible has potential for growth in popularity
- It is an ideal example of an application well suited for "the device formerly known as the mobile phone" (see above)
- It is already multilingual, and the developer kit provides the potential for it to become a collaborative project in widening the number of available languages.
- It is a good example of an application that uses either ThML or OSIS for its input data format, and neither of these short articles have been proposed for deletion.
- It is not an orphaned article (one that has no links to it).
- There is a significant number of blogs that have mentioned Go Bible; some examples: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

[edit] Improvements to the page (to do list)
Things to do to improve the Go Bible page should be listed here.
- Add a software infobox like those found in similar articles. Done. DFH 12:07, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unrelated to GoBible.org
"GoBible.org" is a registered service mark owned by Bruce N. Cameron. You need to state prominently on your page that you have no relationship to the GoBible of GoBible.org to avoid confusion of the mark. GoBible.org is a web site devoted to Bible studies. Thank you, Bruce N. Cameron, J.D. Bruce N. Cameron 23:26, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have emailed Jolon (yesterday) to draw his attention to this. DFH (talk) 22:27, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Zefania XML Bibel Software (German)
The URL for Zefania XML changed during October 2007, though I had no prior notification, even though I am a forum member. I have just inserted a footnote reference tag with the new URL. DFH (talk) 22:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Refimprove template - details that need to be improved?
The main article has a refimprove template added recently. In this section of the talk page, please identify in more detail which items are priority for improvements. I will see what can be done. Thanks. DFH (talk) 22:32, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
