"Go DJ" is the second single off of Lil Wayne's fourth studio album, Tha Carter. The beat is produced by Mannie Fresh. Mannie Fresh starts off the intro to the song, and delivers background vocals during the hook and Baby makes a cameo at the end of the first verse, and the beginning of the third verse. This single peaked at #14 on the US Hot 100.
The video is set in a prison, the same prison they shot Shawshank Redemption, where Lil Wayne is freed from an electric chair. After this, he starts rapping the song.
The song is a remake of U.N.L.V.'s song GO DJ. It was mixed by Fabian Marasciullo.
It was Lil Wayne's highest charting song as a main artist before "Lollipop."
