Gošić

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gošić (Serbian: Гошић) is a hamlet in the municipality of Kistanje, in the Bukovica region of Croatia.

Its population before the Yugoslav Wars of 1991-1995 and the subsequent exodus of the Serbs during Operation Storm was only 107, all citizens being ethnic Serbs. This unremarkable little village is perhaps best known for the events in August 1995, in the days following Operation Storm, when members of the Croatian Army brutally murdered seven elderly members of the Borak family who had stayed in their homes after the invasion.
