Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus was a governor of Roman Britain between 145 and 147.
Little is known of him although he was probably in charge of the occupation of Lowland Scotland following its reconquest by Quintus Lollius Urbicus. This may have been peaceful as he was able to spare troops to take part in the Moorish campaign of 145-7.
