The Straßenbahn Gmunden (Gmunden Tramway) is one of the oldest and one of the shortest tram networks in the world. It is operated by Stern & Hafferl which was founded in 1893. The Tramway was opened on 13 August 1894.

It took five month to built the whole tramway, one depot, one power plant and two houses for the employed people.
