The GMC Terrain is a new mid-size crossover SUV to replace the related Pontiac Torrent [1], and the body-on-frame GMC Envoy. It may also feature third-row seating. The Terrain will slot below the Acadia as its smallest SUV.

Coincidentally, General Motors sells the GMC Terrain as a rebadged Opel Antara sold in the Middle East [2], but shares the same Theta platform. This vehicle will be the GMC version of the Chevrolet Equinox.
