I grew up in Allegan, Michigan, and then attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While there I got BAs in Mathematics and Philosophy. As an obvious next move, I subsequently travelled for a few months in New Zealand and Australia, then lived in New Mexico for a bit, and then came to Mexico, where I am now teaching English in San Cristóbal de las Casas for a few months.
