Glynnis McDaris

Glynnis McDaris (born 1979) is a NY based photographer and artist.

McDaris has exhibited in galleries including Someday Gallery in Melbourne, Gallery s.e. in Oslo "With Us Against Reality, or Against Us", American Fine Arts, Fake Estate, Rivington Arms, John Connelly,and Modern Culture in New York. She is represented by Bespoke Gallery in New York City.

Originally from Memphis, TN, she has performed with bands and musicians that were the subject matter of her first published portraits[citation needed].

She sang on 2001's Sub Pop release, "Let's Start a Family Black" with the indie folk singer Will Oldham. {Fact|date=June 2007}}.

Her portraits of personalities and musicians have included The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Albert Hammond Jr, Jena Malone, Andrew WK, Playa Fly, 3- Mafia, Yo Gotti, Feist, Patricia Field, Zac Posen and Paul Rudd.

She co-edited the art book, "Catholic", which was published by Distributed Art Publishers in 2004. Catholic featured original artwork about cats and included artists such as Balthus, Ryan McGinley, Roe Ethridge, Gabriel Orozco, and Bruce Nauman.
