Talk:GLV/BCV

GLV-8 is the name of the article but it doesn't even get mentioned until the end of the article. There seems to be a tangle of stations involved, but would seem to need somebody familiar with it all to sort it out. -- Whpq 18:44, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Does anyone know why the name SCN lasted for only a short time? To me it seemed like they were trying to create their own brand given their new exclusive affiliation to Ten after aggregation but they gave up and went to Ten branding which I'm guessing is also cheaper. Out of all the regional affiliates in Victoria it was the only one to simply just operate under their network affiliates brand in the end rather than what WIN and Prime have done and create their own branding. However in recent years they have been big on promoting themselves as Southern Cross Ten rather than just Ten. Any thoughts? I'd be keen to contribute this to the article but I can't back it up obviously. Nath85 05:01, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- I wasn't around at the time although I've read a fair bit about it - I think the reason they ditched SCN and just became 'Ten Victoria' had to do with them axing local news. SCN lasted for about six months, after which point they probably decided to cut (what must have been) their losses and just relay ATV-10. timgraham 05:13, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
