Check out WP:DICK, a soft redirect to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Don%27t_be_a_dick

Cross-namespace redirects are not allowed (except in very rare cases), so your redirect was inappropriate. Hope that helps! — Scientizzle 00:16, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

I cannot think of a more worthy and rare case than "Dont be a Cock" redirecting to "Dont be a Dick" ! --Glowplug1 00:26, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Don't be a dick isn't an article. Wikipedia:Don't be a dick is a Wikipedia-space link to a meta project essay. If you wanted to create Wikipedia:Don't be a cock, that would be technically appropriate. As a matter of course, redirects from article-space are not supposed to target to pages outside of article space (i.e., Super cool science dude would be an inappropriate, however apropos, redirect to User:Scientizzle; Articles for deletion does not redirect to Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion). I hope that clears things up a little... — Scientizzle 00:48, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
