User talk:Globalhist

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sorry, when I went over those edits, I seemed to be like Vandalism, I'm so sorry I made that mistake. I just have to ask you something, that when you want to add a comment to a talk page (like this one) please click on that little "plus sign" (+) that is/should be to the right of "Edit this Page"

Sorry again,

Thanks. I clicked the wrong icon for sending the talk the last time.

First steps tutorial

Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy.

Getting help

More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or by placing {{helpme}} on your talk page and a small message explaining the problem that you have on Wikipedia that needs solving. Doing so helps your helper and yourself! After placing {{helpme}} someone will come along and give you assitance. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page.

[edit] Mountaineer edits

You have added many references to mountaineers' article pages but you have entered them under the external links sections. This is not the correct place to put a book reference. This should go under a References or Sources section, or even better should be used as an inline reference to verify some statement made within the text. External links sections are, as the they are titled, for external links on the internet, so unless these books are available online please reformat them as appropriate. We do appreciate your work but it should be done correctly if possible. That way you learn how to do it correctly and avoid other editors having to correct the formatting. Keep on working on the mountaineering stuff as there don't seem to be many people involved in the topic. Cheers ww2censor 21:58, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
