erm... yes? I think it was intended to be distance from Earth/the Sun, but distance from the galactic center seems better (and less heliocentric). I intend to redo the template at some point; I'll add in parameters for both distances when I do so. For now, you're probably best off indicating which you're meaning in the template call.
