The family of Charles Glover pronounce their last name so that it rhymes with "cover." So Glover Park should be pronounced in the same way. Most people in Washington (mis)pronounce it so that it rhymes with "clover." Ian 04:18, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

I've never heard anyone but recent transplants mispronounce the neighborhood, but it would be a good idea to add the pronunciation to the main page.--Pierce
I disagree about the transplants notion-- I edited the pronunciation portion including a reference with a WaPo article in order to clear up confusion. Yes, the Glover family pronounces it like the actor, but residents as far back as the 40's said it as "glo-ver." dojotony 02 May 2006 23:04 (UTC)
