The original version of this article was taken from the public domain Diabetes Dictionary (NIH Publication No. 94-3016, August 1994) at http://www.niddk.nih.gov/health/diabetes/pubs/dmdict/dmdict.htm.

As a work of an agency of the U.S. Federal Government, this should be a public domain resource that can be used in Wikipedia.

it 'should be wikified' there's some good stuff in here...

Are there any objections to renaming this list of terms associated with diabetes? Or something similar starting "list of...". Angela. 10:07, Mar 29, 2004 (UTC)

No. In fact I'd welcome this move. Kpjas

5/6/04 Is insulinoma really a term associated with diabetes? It causes hypo- rather than hyperglycaaemia. I think it should probably be removed. IanMc
In fact, it is, however rather loosely, associated with diabetes.

  • insulin
  • hypoglycemia
    • type 1 can have hypo at the beginning of their disease hence differential diagnosis

Hmm, what about phaeochromocytoma and Cushing's Syndrome with hyperglycaemia, lithium, hypercalcaemia and psychogenic polydipsia for polyuria or perhaps doctor and hospital? Perhaps they, along with insulinoma, should be on a list of things confused with diabetes? Incidentally I found 7,300 hits for Snoopy and diabetes, should he be on the list as well?--195.92.67.76 21:16, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)
