[edit] John Lennon and the Anti-War Movement
Except for its first & last paragraphs, the entire John Lennon section seems to be copied from Emerson's interview with Lennon. So, I'm wondering:
- This hardly seems encyclopedic. Wouldn't a brief description of her opinion of some of the anti-war movement be more appropriate?
- Is this "fair use" or a copyright violation?
Also, this section's last paragraph seems to be an un-attributed editorial. As such, I'd think it should go. Any other thoughts?

- Yes, your observations are very much on the mark. It's definitely a copyright violation -- needs to be drastically trimmed ASAP. And the final paragraph reads like a personal mini-essay -- also needs trimming, etc. I don't have time to do the trimming properly right at the moment -- feel free to give it a try yourself, if you have the time. - Well, I've done the trimming -- I think what I left is a good representative sample. If anyone thinks that some other lines would be better, feel free to give it a go. But this subsection was w-a-a-a-y too long before: not only did it pose a copyvio problem, it was also disproportionate in terms of the overall length of the article. Even the part I've left verges on undue emphasis.

- BTW, I also trimmed a bit from the long paragraph quoted in the preceding section -- mostly to avoid copyvio issues. Cgingold 12:48, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you for making some progress. I haven't had enough time on this to put my thoughts in order. Your edit helps me focus a bit, but it may be another week or so until I get back to it. --rich<Rich Janis 23:57, 23 July 2007 (UTC)>
