The specification is available at Glowe.org. Key concepts in GLOWE are declarative programming and dataflow programming. This means All widgets can be represented graphically and when describing widgets as a developer you tell a widget what it will do and not how they will do it. Very important in GLOWE is data retrieval. Any rest based website or webservice can be used to retrieve data from. In the first place GLOWE is ment for mobile widgets. Simplicity is key as well. 1 file is 1 widget. The clients written are mostly interpreters for the GLOWE specification. A common way is to create a GLOWE widget with the widget editor available at Glowe.org . If a third party chooses to create their own widget editor, this is possible. Several clients can be created over time by and for the GLOWE community.
