Gloucestershire College
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gloucestershire College (also Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology, abbreviated GLOSCAT) is a large college based in Gloucestershire.[1] It has its main campuses at large purpose-built facilities in each of Cheltenham and Gloucester, and also several smaller sites around the county. Its primary business is further education, and focuses on the 16-18 age group.[2] It also offers higher education up to and including HND, HNC and Foundation Degree levels. In the 2005-2006 academic year, Gloucestershire College had 21,777 students enrolled, of which 416 were engaged in higher education.[3]
Not to be confused with the University of Gloucestershire, a distinct (but related) institution operating in the same county, and partner with Gloucestershire College in some areas.
