Glory to Gloriana

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glory to Gloriana is a 2006 Jamaican movie about the trials and tribulations of one woman. It was directed by little known local director Tony Jenkins, and produced by Salt Oil Green Production inc.

Glory to Gloryana is striking in its similarity to the 90's stoner megahit Half Baked. Often described as the unimpressive Jamaican remake of that film. Similarities include a clear emphasis on the use of marawwana, and entrepreneurship. The substantive difference between the two being Glory to glorana replaces selling marawaana with starting a small hotel down the street from the Montego Bay airport. This dose produce and interesting change in time-scale, but essentially it is the same movie.
