Globe Shoes are a manufacturer of surf and skateboard footwear formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1994 by former Australian professional skateboarders Matt, Steven, and Peter Hill.
Globe's line-up consists of shoes designed in conjunction with known professional skateboarders including Rodney Mullen, Paul Machnau, Mark Appleyard , Matt Mumford, Greg Lutzka, Jake Duncombe, David Gonzalez, and Chris Haslam. Professional skateboarder and Darkstar Skateboards owner Chet Thomas retired his pro model shoe with Globe and is now the skate brand manager.[1]
Globe is currently releasing a series of skateboard videos through the internet titled United By Fate.
Globe regularly sponsors skateboard events for the X Games. The company's worldwide office headquarters are located in Melbourne and its North American headquarters in El Segundo, California.
