Global One

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Global One was an international voice and data telecommunications carrier, formed in 1996 as a joint venture between France Télécom, Deutsche Telekom and Sprint Corporation.

Although it built an extensive international network, it was never a financial success. In 2000, France Télécom bought out the other partners, and in 2001 it was taken over by Equant, who themselves had been bought by France Télécom.

Global one provided Voice and Data servers to multi national customers and international organisations.
