Global Intifada is a Swedish ultra-left group. According to its website, Global Intifada views itself as a part of the "international, socialist struggle" which "aims foremost at imperialism and capitalism". Further, the organization states that it "prefers the use of nonviolence" but that "sometimes we see ourselves forced to resort to violence".
[edit] List of attacks
- In September 26, 2004, the windows of the Danish embassy in Stockholm were shattered and red paint was thrown on the building. Global Intifada claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement, saying that it was a "marking against the Danish state's support for America's imperialist assault on Iraq".[1]
- On January 14, 2005, a diplomatic car belonging to the Danish embassy in Stockholm was caught on fire. In a press release Global Intifada claimed responsibility for the attack, again citing the Danish participation in the Iraq War.[2]
