Glinka, Zabaykalsky Krai

Glinka (Russian: Глинка or Харчетой) is a rural locality in Khiloksky District of Zabaykalsky Krai located on the banks of the Khilok River. The settlement was founded in the winter 1895-1896 as a rail workers' living place. Its population as of 1926 was 175 dwellers. In the following decades railway station Kharchetoy, a brick works, a windmill and bakery, and two kolkhozs were founded here. Glinka is comparatively a well-developed settlement of the district and its population as of 2002 is 421.
