Gli Anni ruggenti (The Roaring Years) is a 1962 Italian comedy film directed by Luigi Zampa set in the 1930s during the Fascist period of Benito Mussolini. It stars Nino Manfredi and Gino Cervi.
The film won Best Feature at the 1962 Locarno International Film Festival.
[edit] Plot summary
An insurance broker, Omero Battifiori (Nino Manfredi), looks for work in a new small town in Italy. The authorities, awaiting a close inspection from the Fascist Party of the capital, suspect him to be to be a spy and inspector and a prominent member of the Party. The misunderstanding leads to many many difficulties until Battifiori is able to clear his name.
