There's two videos on JP's website, where Tipton explains he didnt start learning the guitar until he was 21! Anyone knows more and want to write it to the article? --Grinder0-0 10:56, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Just added a sentense about that, as well as his piano skill. --Kroum 17:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Keyboards?

Does anyone know if he stopped playing keyboards after the '70s or something? The only times he ever appeared playing keyboards were on the first few Judas Priest albums in the '70s, then after Stained Class it was pretty much over. You never hear him playing them after that. I know they became a lot more rare in Priest's music during the '80s and '90s, but I'm suspicious that he may have quite, because even when there were keyboards featured in their music, they got a session player to play them (like how Don Airey plays them on "A Touch of Evil" and on one of the songs on Demolition). Even on Turbo, when their music became all synthy, they chose to use synth guitars instead of actually synthesizers. Anyone have any information on the subject?

[edit] Age?

I edited the DOB from 1941 to 1947, which I found more sources supporting. I'm not 100% sure though - although it seems unlikely that Tipton is that much older than the rest of the band. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.230.72.241 (talk) 14:40, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
