Just changing the section in bilingualism about "ghettoizing" linguistic training to a single faculty - York offers French language training at the main campus too. Torontois 04:31, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Contents

[edit] Student Life

Just a reminder that the content of this page, under Wikipedia policy, is to be encyclopaedic, relevant, accurate, verifiable and free of bias. It has come to my attention that a large portion of content under the "Student Life" section pertains mainly to the history of a single entity within the college and not the overarching idea of "Student Life". That said, there are no citations or links indicating that any of this is actual fact, and so thus will remain removed until it fulfills Wikipedia requirements.

A subheading strictly under the heading of Campus politics, or of the Student Union activities would be more appropriate, but this still must have sources cited.

[edit] Residences

According to this the size of the houses in Wood Residence are 22-30 students while those in Hilliard are higher. I know that at least certain houses in Wood have 40+ students, but otherwise I'm not sure enough about the numbers to change the article, so I'll put that here. (My IP, in case you're wondering, is coming actually out of Wood.) --198.96.32.149 06:12, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

The numbers in the article reflect the official housing information on the university website; I thought it'd be appropriate to remain consistent with that

[edit] What was this supposed to say?

First sentence of the third paragraph of the bilingualism section: "It is not yet clear how Glendon plans to update this cursus..."

This is clearly a typo, but I can't determine what the original author intended to say.

[edit] Disambiguation between Glendon College and York University in Infobox

With regards to the University Information box, some information pertains solely to Glendon College while others pertain to York University as a whole- and Glendon's own school crest should be included alongside York University's

I'm removing "Postgraduates" because Glendon don't have any - yet. The Glendon School of Public Affairs hasn't been opened to students yet. We have about 2,309 students. (Last I heard, anyway.) The Glendon crest is probably under copyright. 74.100.46.118 00:26, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Glendon does have MA programmes in French Studies and Translation as well. Carolynparrishfan 12:36, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Good job on whoever got our crest up on there in the Infobox- much more deserved than the York U crest

[edit] Notable professors

Added a couple who are over at the York page, figuring it's good to overlap (right?). Is seems the section is for current and past professors, should the title be changed? Also, didn't Castel teach at Osgoode Hall? Article says so. Edward Wakelin 04:31, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

The article is on Glendon College, not York U. If they're not affiliated with Glendon, they should be listed on the York page. Torontois 02:00, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unimportant speculation

It is not yet clear how Glendon plans to update this cursus in response to curricular developments at institutions like the University of Ottawa....rather than a separate university institution under the York umbrella.

This paragraph is speculative and does not cite its sources. Also, I don't see why it's relevant information. I think it should be deleted. 198.96.33.38 05:00, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Filming location

I don't think we need to go overboard with a list of TV and movie projects filmed at Glendon. There are too many and not that interesting to list. Just a mention that it is a popular place to film and a prime example or two like Degrassi. DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:47, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
