[edit] 1964 Fire
I remember the fire well. It was during Easter vacation. The person who started it was in one of my classes. Not only that, but my uncle was in charge of the crew that cleaned up the mess, white-washed the walls, and walled up unusable rooms. Even 2 years later when I graduated, there was still the unmistakable smell of smoke in some areas. They started the demolition of the unusable areas prior to my graduation. I remember the noise in the classrooms as the wrecking ball hit the walls over and over again.
We were never told who started it, but it was pretty obvious when just one person was missing from school after the Easter vacation. I had known him since the 7th grade, and it really didn't surprise me that much that he was the one. He was always a little strange.
