Talk:Glenbrook South High School

[edit] Anyone?
Has anyone noticed that this article is basically Glenbrook North High School, except for "Notable mentions and events", with North changed to South.
Hi there, Superdosh. I'm not exactly sure of the procedure for verifying and authorizing additions to Wikipedia articles, but I can provide some insight into Mr. Beyrak's credentials. I'm a Glenbrook South alum who graduated the same year as Ilya (2003, hardly long enough ago for him to become a "Sucessful International Entrepreneur" of anything), and I'm 99% sure that he added his own name onto this Wikipedia article to feed his ego. The guy runs a website where you can buy RAM, which isn't exactly an encyclopedia-worthy accomplishment. I love Glenbrook South and I'm proud of its history and the accomplishments of many of its alumni; even so, this article obviously cannot list every sucessful businessperson, politician, artist or ahtlete who has graduated from that school. The list of notable alumni in this Wikipedia entry needs to be reserved for those graduates who have become exceptionally sucessful, influential- even infamous, if that situation were to arise. What it cannot be is a forum for self-serving former students to post their résumés.

Hey Kyle. I'm an alum as well of GBS (class of 2002) and UIUC (class of 2005). Thus my interest in the article. I couldn't agree more that only notable persons should be added. This is why I've removed Ilya (until someone provides some verification of notability). Good luck at UIUC. --Superdosh 18:42, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
