Glenn Parker (born April 22, 1966 in Westminster, California) is a former American football offensive lineman in the NFL who played for the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the New York Giants. Having retired, he is now a television NFL analyst.

Parker attended Edison High School in Huntington Beach, but was not in the athletics programs. He first played for Golden West College, a junior college in Huntington Beach.

That led him to Arizona, where played for the University of Arizona and was drafted in the third round of the 1990 draft by the Bills. He played for the Bills until 1997, playing in all four Super Bowls the team lost from 1990-1993. He then went to play three years for the Chiefs, being released during the 2000 offseason. He was picked up as a free agent by the Giants, where he played two more seasons, and played in their 2000 Super Bowl. He retired after the 2001 season after being released by the Giants, being one of the only players to play in, and be on the losing team in, five separate Super Bowls. He started in 141 of the 174 games he played, as well as all 16 of his postseason appearances.

Parker has been an analyst on the NFL Network's Playbook since late 2003, and is also the main college football analyst for the CBS College Sports Network. He is also the main analyst for The AFL on NBC. He was part of the NBC 2004 Olympics team, covering weightlifting and feature reporting. Parker also has appeared on Fox Sports, covering features on NFL Europe, and appeared on ESPN's NFL 2Nite. Fairly well-known for his culinary and wine interests, he has also appeared on The Food Network.

Glenn Parker is married, with four children, and lives in Arizona.

[edit] Trivia

Before his professional football days, Parker was active in the Society for Creative Anachronism. He sat the throne of The Kingdom of Caid in 1985 under the persona name Glyn ap Rhodri. He was made an Earl and later a Knight in 1986. Popular rumor holds that a condition of his NFL contract forbade him from taking part in SCA combat while he was playing, due to a perceived risk of injury.

His SCA Heraldic device was registered in 1986 as: "Argent, 3 lions passant guardant Gules and on a bordure Sable 3 lozenges argent"
