Glenelg School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glenelg School is a government school in Glenelg East, South Australia. It was built in 1881 and has lasted 126 years.

Last year, Glenelg School proudly celebrated their 125th birthday. They celebrated it by holding a carnival at the school. Paul Ferrors, Deputy Principal, along with other teachers, opened the time capsule that has been in there for over 25 years and first put there when the school first opened. Some of the tasks they did to celebrate this year was to make a new school logo, make a school of the future and write letters to put in the time capsule. Here's what one of the students had to say: "Yeah, it was great fun and the carnival was the best." We asked if she went to the school and she said she did. (Some poor sentence structure there)

Also last year the school entered in J-rock, Rockestedford, and brought home a trophy. We had a sneak peek at the dances and this year, they are bigger and better than the last and if I were other schools, I would definitely be working hard to beat these guys. From what some of the other students told us, that school is great fun and they're getting more students every year.
