Glenda Dawson High School is a state-operated secondary school in Pearland, Texas, United States.
Dawson, serving grades 9 through 10, is a part of the Pearland Independent School District.
Dawson, opened in fall 2007, relieved Pearland High School. Dawson serves a section of Pearland and Brookside Village.
Dawson High School was named after former Texas Representative Glenda Dawson who also taught for 34 years at Pearland High School, before joining the Texas legislature. Dawson High School's mascot is also the Eagles, coincidentally sharing the same mascot as another Pearland elementary school, Challenger Elementary. The school colors are red, white, and blue. The school motto is: "Some Fly, We Soar."

As of 2007, the construction and opening Glenda Dawson High School is not complete. The groundbreaking ceremony occurred on August 1, 2007. In fall 2007, the current Pearland Ninth Grade Center, was be converted into a temporary Dawson High School for two years serving 9th and 10th graders the first year and 9th, 10th, and 11th graders in the second year. In the fall of 2009, the new Dawson High School will be finished and students will then go there to attend school. Then, the Ninth Grade Center facility will then be converted (along with Pearland Jr. High South) into Pearland ISD's third high school, to be named Robert Turner High School, after a former district superintendent.

Sports offered at Dawson include baseball, basketball (girls and boys), cross country (girls and boys), football, golf, soccer (girls and boys), softball, swimming, tennis, track (girls and boys), volleyball, and marching band, which scored all ones (highest score) for UIL Contest, and came in fourth out of twelve schools at the USSBA tournament beating 8 schools that had seniors[1].
Dawson High School offers a wide range of clubs and organizations as well. It currently has three foreign language clubs (Spanish, Latin, and French), FFA, Academic Decathlon, Future Problem Solvers, FCA, CrimeStoppers, Math and Science club, and even a Knitting and Crocheting club.
