Glen Carlin is a fictional character in the tv series South of Nowhere. His sister is Spencer Carlin and his adoptive brother is Clay Carlin. He also has an off and on relationship with Madison Duarte. He is played by Chris Hunter.

[edit] Moving To LA
When the series starts, Glen, his sister Spencer, and his brother Clay have moved to LA. They begin to attend King High and Glen quickly becomes the star basketball player.
[edit] Rivalry With Aiden
When Glen begins to shine as the star player of the school basketball team, Aiden becomes jealous, especially when his girlfriend Madison develops a crush. They get into a little fight in the locker room, and then a bigger one at the school dance. After a constant rivalry throughout season 1 (primarily over Madison, who loses interest in Aiden and falls for Glen, and Spencer, who Aiden falls for), near the end they start to become friends.
[edit] Relationship With Madison
When Madison dumps Aiden, she and Glen quickly start dating. However, she is only interested in his stardom, especially when college scouters offer him a very nice car in exchange for attending their school. But when Glen turns the offer down, and later blows out his knee in a pick-up game, she dumps him.

[edit] Painkiller Addiction
After blowing out his knee, Glen loses his opportunities for basketball stardom. To get better, he begins taking painkillers to ease his pain. But he becomes addicted, and it soons spirals out of control. He eventually gets jailed for buying them off the street. After that, he works hard and eventually overcomes the addiction.
[edit] Dealing With Spencer and Ashley
When Glen finds out that Spencer and Ashley are together, he is furious with the idea of his sister being a lesbian. He snubs Ashley and is very cold towards Spencer at home. But after Spencer and Ashley run away to be together, he realizes how serious they are and accepts their relationship.
[edit] The Prom
With the prom approaching, Glen decides to take the newly returned Madison. She agrees, but only to have fun. While preparing, Arthur insists that Glen wear his old kilt. Together, Glen, Madison, Spencer, Ashley, Aiden, Kyla, Clay, and Chelsea go off to prom.
When they arrive, everbody has an amazing time, especially Madison and Glen. Everybody decides to go back to the hotel where they have rented a hotel room for the afterparty. But just as everyone leaves, a drive-by shooting occurs and tragedy takes over.

[edit] The Aftermath
After the shooting, everyone is taken to hospital, where Aiden is treated for being shot and Clay is pronounced dead. In the morgue, everyone mourns for him.
[edit] Second Thoughts
After having such an interest in the military before the prom, Glen shrinks away when he is called to go to boot camp. He doesn't tell anyone that he has enlisted, but when he is trouble, Arthur comes to his rescue and reveals that Glen signed up with a fake ID. Glen gets out of it, but Arthur is furious.
[edit] Growing Closer to Chelsea
After Clay's death, Chelsea and Glen have bonded closely. He even takes time to help her clean out some things in her studio. Later, when Chelsea thinks that she may be entering labor, he rushes her to the hospital. She is okay, but when he walks her to the car and goes back to get her jacket, she is rammed by another car. She loses her baby soonafter.
In a recent promo for South of Nowhere, Glen and Chelsea are kissing, with Chelsea saying, "You make me happy." This may signify a future relationship.
