Gleisdreieck (Berlin U-Bahn)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gleisdreieck is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U1 and the U2. The station's name means "railway triangle" in English and marks the spot of an earlier major train hub (only an intersection, albeit without a connection, with the Berlin S-Bahn remains) which today is part of the Deutsches Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology). It is the westernmost station in Kreuzberg for both lines. There was a major accident at the station in 1908 which killed 18 people.
Gleisdreieck was used for a few years as a M-Bahn station.
