Is it okay to skip some warning levels, for instance skipping level 1 and beginning with a level 2 "caution" warning, or going straight from a level 1 warning to a level 3 warning? I've seen this happen occasionally and I just want to clarify if it is allowed (within reasonable use, of course). Thanks! :) — NovaDog — (contribs) 00:41, 14 November 2007 (UTC) ThankspamUser:Neranei/adminthanks Last aired date on Ed, Edd n EddyThis is ridiculous. That field has been edited all day long. Is there any way to block editing a field or infobox without blocking the whole page? It would be a shame to have to protect the page over this one silly field. -- Elaich talk 03:27, 14 November 2007 (UTC) You're everywhere

Shiny ThingThank you!!! Pedro : Chat 16:27, 14 November 2007 (UTC) HOTTIEI do stand by the close, although you may always take it to DRV if you wish. I'd advise against that: the debate is essentially one of the "this is funny"/"no, it isn't, it's offensive" variety. Numbers are irrelevant once a certain level of opposition is reached: if this page makes a large fraction of the community uncomfortable, keep the peace by moving the page, but retaining the article. If it were merely one or two stragglers or newbies opposing this, that would be one thing -- however, with the number of established voices on both sides, this is the only reasonable outcome. As to its location, I don't care which user has it. I do think it is a bit silly to assert WP:OWNership of the thing, and I'm not sure why you mind in whose userspace it ends up, but you are welcome to work that out with EVula yourself. Best wishes, Xoloz 16:42, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
CopycatThanks for nailing that little !@#$@#. It's a child whose original username was User:Znznzn, who's been popping up with sockpuppets vandalizing me, Pedro -- he said some disgraceful things about the picture of Pedro's son -- and a couple of other people. I'm about ready to track down his IP and phone his mother... (well, perhaps not yet, but I'm about ready to talk to his service provider). That's one young man that's going to get a spanking when his mom finds out the !@#$# he's been up to. Accounting4Taste 18:35, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
ThanksFor that revert. I've blocked the IP too; that IP was an IP sock of a person who keeps harassing both me and another user. Acalamari 19:56, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
how did i vandalize? How did I vandalize? check the artists webpage he is an artist and I added him to the list of Mancini names with a page for his biography which was also deleted. I would appreciate it if you would restore both things that were deleted. Instead of being rude and going ahead and deleting people, perhaps you should do the proactive thing and reach out to a user and try and correct any problems with the posting before deleting pages that they have added. Please clarify —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommiesox (talk • contribs) 20:40, 14 November 2007 (UTC) As you requestedI fixed it. OverhyperlinkificationI took out the "American" link from RHCP because some Wikipedia articles are so heavily linked that they're near-impossible to read. You put it back with the comment "…but still useful". How so? I can't imagine a reader of that page thinking, "Hmm, 'American'. I wonder what that means?" That way madness lies. Hey ho. Do what you like to RHCP. It's not something to get upset about, but I do wonder whether we overdo the linking sometimes. Minor Jedi AFDOnly a couple of the keep arguments were based in policy or guidelines; the others used arguments like WP:PAPER, WP:SAL (which is just a guideline on how to write standalone lists), and WP:ILIKEIT that aren't reasons to keep anything. The series being notable also doesn't transfer notability to every single character in it (notability isn't inherited), hence my decision to delete. --Coredesat 19:43, 18 November 2007 (UTC) Future filmsCan I ask you why you are declining the deletion of a number of articles about unproduced projects? The notability guidelines for films clearly reflects that stand-alone articles for such films are not warranted. This is because of the uncertainty of the film industry -- projects are often announced and developed, but a minority of them are actually produced. Is there a reason why such often non-notable items are not deleted? Films with well-covered development histories are placed at broader articles, like Spider-Man 4. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 22:14, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Groups as external linksHi, Thanks for writng. Sorry that the links were of a bother to you. It seems to me, however, that Wikipedia policy does not just "automatically" ban these types of links. It seems to me that Wikipedia allows the these types of links as long as they are under the following applicable exception (which, they clearly are): "Except for a link to a page that is the subject of the article or an official page of the article subject." Please let me know if you feel these links are not related to "the subject of the article" and, if so, how or why that would be. Did you block them for what they did in Bongwarrior's userpage? If so, you were mistaken to block that user. He/she even stated that what they were doing was not vandalism. To block a user for anything other than vandalsim is against the policies, not to mention just plain unfair. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 20:50, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Your reverts at Talk:Monolithic kernelThanks for attempting to curtail this guy's personal attacks. Doubtless you have seem his repeated insistence on re-adding them. He continually shifts IP addresses within the same /16 (which was rangeblocked for 3 hours earlier by User:KnowledgeOfSelf. This user has made it clear at User Talk:Mayalld, User Talk:KnowledgOfSelf and Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets#User:74.13.29.56 that he intends to continue to add personal attacks. He is determined that he will insult whoever he likes. I am at a loss to find a solution that will prevent his continued personal attacks (we surely can't block a /16 from anonymous editing for an extended period). Your thoughts would be very welcome, Thanks! I was notified by his son (72yrs. old)of the deletion of his fathers work. I just want a little help in understanding your background in the mathematics field. And why obscure people with no knowledge of the subject can vanquish this mans work. It is like I am sucked into a vortex of conformity and there is no escape. Before this deletion, was the information verified? I wrote on the discussion page (I guess a little late). Theodore theodorsen and his theory was published by "GALILEAN ELECTRODYNAMICS" Vol 6. no 4 July/August 1995. Editor and publisher Howard C. Hayden, Professor of Physics, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT 06269-3046. Is this enough info for you to repost the article? There is no copyright on any of the information that was supplied in the article. In fact, to make sure that I made no mistakes in the mathematics. I made them images. I was going to ask one of the math guys in wiki math to supply the conversions of all the info. Please reconsider it's deletion. Thank you GPA (talk) 17:01, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
