I caught and reverted both of his vandalisms on your page. I put him up on AIV right afterwards, so no worries. He'll catch an indef one way or the other. Peace. Bullzeye (Complaint Dept./Brilliant Acts) 20:36, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

I've always said a good no-BS way to determine what an editor's made of is how many times their user page has been vandalized. Needless to say, you seem to be pissing off just the right people :) Bullzeye (Complaint Dept./Brilliant Acts) 20:41, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
No joke, brother. Been there done that...it sucks the Project's such a magnet for the mental midgets of the world. I guess if they weren't here they'd be on Slashdot or Usenet (or throwing rocks at cars outside their house)...oh well, I figure all we can do is make like Jim Morrison: keep our eyes on the road and our hands upon the wheel. The End's Not Near, It's Here

Hey, just letting you know that the edits you reverted by 74.117.11.63 were clearly removal of vandalism; it even clearly states "removing vandalism" in the edit summaries. You even warned the person for fighting vandalism. Please take closer looks at the content that you're restoring from now on. Donkey Kong? Come on, man. GlassCobra (talkcontribs) 04:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

My mistake. I apologized to the anon editor. Owen× 15:44, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Pardon me, but I'd like a response to my previous comment, or at least an apology to the anon editor involved. User:OwenX has already apologized. Actually, I find your warning highly ironic: "Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason." I consider fighting vandalism a pretty good reason. As I said before, please be more diligent in reading the content that you are restoring. Even with a cursory glance you would have seen terms like "Donkey Kong" and "Rosie O'Donnell" and known that the content did not belong. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 16:44, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry but, in fairness, your first message didn't actually ask for a reply or even an apology for that matter. Anyway I meant to reply to the message on your talk page and his after I archived it but I got distracted with bigger, real life issues. Here is where I'm asking for forgivness for not getting back to you sooner. Clearly reverting their edit was a huge mistake and I apoligised to anon user for it. I also deleted the warning from his talkpage. Also when I reverted his edit, he didn't actually have an edit summary filled it saying "undoing vandalism" etc as it was blank. It was unexplained thats why I gave anon user that particular warning. But I apoligised now as I was clearly mistaken and everybody is happy and can move on from this experience. AngelOfSadness talk 18:57, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
It's fine. No need to worry about it. I'll see you around. Happy Editing :D AngelOfSadness talk 19:11, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for the message about my edits. I was wondering why I was getting warnings when it was obviously vandalism and I had stated it the second time around. You didn't need to message them about it but you did, and I really appreciate it so thanks again! :) (74.117.11.63 04:23, 6 September 2007 (UTC))

Redirect of David J silver

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on David J silver, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because David J silver is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting David J silver, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Ill Intelleks Page Deletion

Illintelleks 18:53, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey GlassCobra

I still don't understand why my article was deleted from the Wiki. It said something about duplicated text on another website but this text appears everywhere as biographical information released from Blindog Records LLC in Vermont, USA. Why can't I recreate the article following the proper guidelines? considering several people feel this is something that should be documented in the wiki. I left out the link to the groups Myspace.com account which the core bot picked up as a red flag and asked me to remove, which I did promptly.

Let me know how I can fix the article following the proper guidelines, rather than just deleting it and telling me I can't make it ever again.

Thanks for your time

On August 25th I switched the CSD tag on this article to PROD. A short while later you switched it back with an edit summary of "Are you serious? The MTV is obviously a lie, and there's a karate box for a non-notable form of martial arts. This is obvious CSD." Yes I was serious. A claim to have videos on MTV, even a false claim, is a claim to notability, which is all an article needs to avoid CSD A7. Admins should not evaluate the truthfullness of claims to notability when deciding whether or not to delete via A7. Hoaxes are not speedy candidates. Dsmdgold 15:46, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:Redwall Portal

Hey, the first step is deciding what components you want to include. We can do virtually anything we like here, but most good portals include four content components of one kind or another. You may find it useful to look over some other portals (Portal:Narnia, for example, although there don't seem to be any featured portals on similar topics).

If you'd like, I can put together a rudimentary skeleton and then we can futz with it. Carom 12:19, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Page deletion

I recently became involved with volunteering at the Aishel House, and thought to publish a page on wikipedia about it. I did not mean to simply promote it, but as of the fact that i am not the best writer around i guess i did a bad job. Is there any way that i can retain the article on my computer for my own personal documentation? as the article is now deleted i dont know what to do. if that type of page does not belong on wikipedia, then i am more than happy if it is deleted. btw i am new to wikipedia and was wondering if there was a more user friendly tutorial available online. thankks peretzlaz —Preceding unsigned comment added by PeretzLaz (talkcontribs)

Perry Publishing and Broadcasting.

The entry for Perry Publishing and Broadcasting is needed as this company owns several radio stations that are entries at Wikipedia.

As for links, if you had checked at the bottom of the entry, you would have noted that I've had left links to both the company's site as well as their newspaper. The corporate site has more information about their history as well as their acquistions.

I believe that you had jumped the gun on this issue.

Perry Publishing and Broadcasting (part 2)

GlassCobra,

I've included a link to a recent article from "Black News" about Perry Publishing and Broadcasting recent station acquisitions in Augusta, Georgia from Radio One and this has been posted with the Wiki article.

[1]

Sorry that there is no other "outside" information online at this time. There was a newspaper article about the purchase of several stations in Oklahoma, but has since been archive. I believe in factual infomation myself, but sometimes it is hard to come by online.

Green Arrow's rogues gallery

Virtually every other noteworthy DC Comics hero has an article about their frequent enemies, so why not Green Arrow!? I don't understand your problem with the reference links reverting back to the Green Arrow article itself. That's better than having no substance at all. TMC1982 1:05 a.m., 9 September 2007 (UTC)

So why is this particular one called "rogues gallery" then? If you really insist on keeping it, at least make it consistent with the other lists of enemies. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 08:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

I just moved the article so that it can be titled List of Green Arrow enemies (so that it would be more consistent with the other lists). I beat you to the punch! TMC1982 1:13 a.m., 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey Ya Article.

No questions really. I just did not wish that type of hate to be present. It would be nice if Wiki offered a way to flag for hate type things. I would have much rather tagged it for a fix than done it myself (As you noted I do not know all the rules.) Anyway, thank you for fixing my fix. Kep up the good work.

schools and wiki

yes, they are not going about it the right way. But they need guidance, not rejection. I've been looking at such projects, and the way the coordination is handled is on a subpage of WP:SUP & by use of the article talk page. It is considered quite acceptable to explain there that it is a school project, and the rules. Here's an example: [2] and [3] and even a template {{Educational assignment}} .

I was in the process of writing some advice to the teacher. I just know of these things & am not an expert, and I was going to refer the teacher to people who could help more. DGG (talk) 00:47, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

THE NEED

THE NEED - Rock/Pop/Alternative Band. Members: Garrett McArthur, Danny Mareco, TJ Hartmann, Jonathan Beveridge

The Need is an alternative pop rock band signed with Universal Music Group through DelFi Music Group. The "queer-core band" that is referred is not correct. There were several corrections that were made, then revoked. this is not fair. We have a copyright on the name and are a current band going to be feature on the hit television show "Grey's Anatomy." The Need

I always interpreted the 3 revert rule to mean that someone is reverting exactly the same, or substantially the same content back and forth. I had no idea that reverting in a clearly discernible series of baby steps that constituted one big revert would bee seen as a violation, technically or otherwise, as there was no back and forth interplay. But anyhow, I figured out how to install and use Twinkle, so I won't be fumbling around trying to figure out how to get back to the non-vandalized version of a page anymore! Thanks for the heads up.OfficeGirl 12:39, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

YRBS

I saw that someone tagged the YRBS article for speedy deletion, and I do not understand. The YRBS is the only repeated federal study of adolescent risk behavior, and there is only one other repeated study of adolescent risk behavior (conducted by U Michigan). EVERY piece of information that we have about trends over time in smoking, drinking, sex, etc., which is reported in the media uses either YRBS or Monitoring the Future (the Michigan study). The YRBS is featured in hundreds of media reports every year. If you have doubts on notability call up any national, state, or local department of public health and ask where they get their information from, and look in Congressional hearings and briefings for policy makers. They all use YRBS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jerosenb (talkcontribs) 14:27, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
