Seriously, this template is horrible... At least remove the colours, I think I'm not alone with not being able to stand even looking at it... In the meantime one might wonder what good these templates do at all. /Grillo 01:51, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Yes, please. My eyes! /skagedal... 01:52, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
AAAARRGGGHH!! Yes, this template is pretty hard to read. Also, the stations that are currently redlinked DO have articles – I know becuase I just created them – but the markup is so unreadable I can't be bothered to hunt through it and find the links to correct them. If it doesn't improve in the next few days I'll TfD it -- Gurch 10:57, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, stuff it, I can't bear to look at this monstrosity on all my nice articles. Assuming systematic removal of all occurences would be treated as vandalism, I'm going to dive in and see what I can make of the markup. Be back in an hour or six -- Gurch 11:01, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Links in every little box removed (the lines are all keyed and linked at the top of the page)
  • Hyphens converted to em-dashes (looks nicer)
  • Stations with two or more lines have half-width line boxes
Better? -- Gurch 12:08, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Gah, it doesn't work on many configurations. And it still looks awful. I'm removing the boxes altogether. And I've made the text smaller, same size as other, similar templates -- Gurch 14:52, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
It's much better now without all the colours! /Grillo 19:23, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Why don't you change it youself - go on, be bold! --Anthonycfc 15:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A few changes

I've done a bit of work on the contents of this template as previously it couldn't seem to decide if it actually was Railway stations in Glasgow, or if it was trying to be Railway stations in the SPT area, and in the end it was neither. As a result, I've deleted a few stations outwith the city boundaries (e.g. on the Neilston, Newton and Milngavie lines) and added a few which despite being actually in Glasgow and having Wikipedia articles weren't included on the template, including several on the Paisley Canal and Barrhead lines.

As an extension of this work I've also been removing the template on a whole host of other pages where it was appearing (i.e. those for stations which I've removed from the template). I've also shifted several of these from Category:Railway stations in Glasgow to the categories for the approriate areas.

Of course, if anyone wants to change this template into one covering the whole SPT network - which might be a reasonable idea given the listing here of all the suburban lines and their colour codes, any thoughts?? - then they would all have to be added again, plus a whole bunch more! -- Jellyman 07:37, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Add missing stations?

Anybody have any objections to me adding some stations to the disused section of the template? Crow Road railway station for instance has a page and is in the Glasgow area yet isn't in the template. I mean I know the criteria might be that the station must still physically exist, but if that were the case then a few others would fail on it. Plus there are still remnants of the station remaining, which I'll try to get photos of. There's a few others that could be added as well such as Partick West railway station. It just seems a bit incomplete to me, and I don't think you can ever really have too much information.

If nobody objects, I'll do it. Of course, anyone else who would rather do it is more than welcome. --Notorious Biggles 17:09, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Done - however there are probably other closed Glasgow station that are missing. Fell free to add them. Stewart 19:39, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
