[edit] John Arthur Thorne

Is there a reference for the name John ARTHUR?

My reading suggests the Treasurer hung with Abbot Whiting was named John THORNE.

see http://www.glastonburyshrine.co.uk/monks.htm and "The Bishop's Palace Wells" Guide book published by the Palace.

Chinnery gives the name as "John Arthur Thorne" and describes him as Treasurer (as do many sources). I find it unlikely that he was the carpenter who actually made the chair. Andy Dingley (talk) 22:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
