Glasthule (Irish: Glas Tuathail, meaning Toole's Streamlet) is a suburban village located along Dublin's East Coast, between Dún Laoghaire and Dalkey.
Every year it celebrates Bloomsday (celebrating the day featured in James Joyce's highly acclaimed novel Ulysses).
The James Joyce Tower is located in nearby Sandycove.
The Presentation Brothers maintain a house in Glasthule and operated Presentation College Glasthule, a secondary school for boys, until 2006.
It is the main setting for Jamie O'Neill's 2001 novel At Swim, Two Boys.
