Giuseppe Savoldi (born 21 January 1947 in Gorlago, Bergamo) is a retired Italian professional football player, who played during the sixties, seventies and eighties. He played as an attacker for Atalanta, Bologna and S.S.C. Napoli, as well as the Italian national side.

[edit] Biography

Savoldi made his debut in Series A in 1965 with Atalanta. From 1968 to 1975 he played in the red and blue of Bologna, making 201 appearances, scoring 85 goals. In 1975 he was signed by S.S.C. Napoli for the then world record figure of two billion Lira (£1.2 million).
