My name is Tiffany Yesavage, I am a Ph.D. student studying geochemistry at Penn State. My research project, which I will begin in May, will involve studying the weathering of shales. In particular, I am interested in the role that bacteria may play in this process. In addition to my school studies, I am also the proud owner of a miniature American Eskimo dog. All of this has nothing to do with the time that I have wasted on Wikipedia!

One of my major interests on Wikipedia at the moment involves fair use. It is my feeling that fair use rights do not really exist on Wikipedia and that this is becoming dangerous. Although plagiarism is ALWAYS bad, it is my feeling that there is a lot of unnecessary paranoia on Wikipedia.
