Not notable? They make the helmets for most of many (most?) bicycling pros in the country. They are without question 1st or 2nd globally on helmet sales (at least in the $40+ range). jbolden1517Talk 15:04, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

They are definitely notable. Ask any bicycling pro and you will hear Giro =) ĞavinŤing 06:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shoe line

I take it Giro is not proud of the shoes that carry their brand name? Not one shoe of theirs is on the company website, nor is it mentioned here.Kuahmel (talk) 01:05, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I finally located info on their shoe line, which was a licensing agreement they were in and out of. Here are two links on the situation Beginning: http://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/stories/2006/08/14/story7.html?b=1155528000%5E1329042 End: http://www.footwearnews.com/site/article.php?id=193 Also two message board posts about where the inventory ended up: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=749690 http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/general-discussion/7097-giro-footwear.html I will make the necessary edits soon, after which this portion of talk will be deleted.Kuahmel (talk) 08:09, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, forum posts don't meet the burden of reliability Wikipedia demands so can't be used as sources. Also, no need to delete stuff off of talk pages, it doesn't matter if it's out of date. Regards, SeveroTC 09:14, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
