This page is filled with errors. It confuses work done at the Gas Dynamics Lab (GDL) and by the later organization RNII with work done by the original GIRD group. GIRD was started in 1931, not 1924.

Probably needs to be completely rewritten from scratch. DonPMitchell 22:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
