Girls About Town is a 4-song 7" EP by the Smithereens, the first recording by the band.
The EP contains four songs with the word "Girl" in the title. Side 1 features Girls About Town and Girl Don't Tell Me. Side 2 features Got Me a Girl and Girls Are Like That. Girl Don't Tell Me is a cover of a Brian Wilson song originally recorded by the Beach Boys and included on their 1965 LP Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!); the remaining three songs are originals from the pen of Smithereens' singer/guitarist Pat DiNizo.
The EP was released in 1980 on the D-Tone label in a picture sleeve, and is stock number DT150.
