Giovanni da Vercelli

Giovanni da Vercelli, master general of the Order of Preachers was born in Mosso S. Maria from the family Garbella and died 30 November 1283 in Montpellier. He studied in Paris and learned canon law in Paris, Pavia and Vercelli. On 1254 Prior of Bologna, between 1257-1264 provincial of Lombardy. In 1264 he was elected master general by the general capitol.
