Giovanni Carlone

Giovanni Carlone (1584 - 1631) was an Italian painter from Genoa. He was the son of Taddeo Carlone and the brother of Giovanni Battista Carlone.
He trained under his father and later under the Sienese Pietro Sorri, who was in Genoa in 1596-1598. Carlone later studied in Rome and Florence, where he practiced under Domenico Cresti.
Most of his works are in Genoa (Basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato) and in Liguria.
He died at Milan in 1631.
