Giorgio DeLuca

Giorgio DeLuca is one of the founders, along with Joel Dean and Jack Ceglic, of the gourmet grocery store Dean & DeLuca in September 1977. Before that, DeLuca owned a cheese shop on Prince Street in New York City which he opened in 1973. Prior to owning his shop, DeLuca sold cheeses from a cart that he positioned mostly in Greenwich Village and SoHo.

DeLuca is now the owner of the restaurant Giorgione on Spring Street, and the more recently opened Giorgione 508 around the corner on Greenwich Street.
