Ginzan Onsen is an onsen (hot spring) area in Obanazawa, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. Its name, meaning "silver mountain", It became nationally famous as the setting for the television drama Oshin.
Fossils from the Miocene era have been found in the vicinity.
