Gina Arnold

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gina Arnold is a rock critic whose articles have appeared in Spin, Rolling Stone and various free weeklies.

She grew up in Palo Alto, California. After attending UCLA for one year, she transferred to UC Berkeley.

Her book about the 1990s alternative zeitgeist, Route 666: On the Road to Nirvana (which was followed by a sequel of sorts, Kiss This: Punk In The Present Tense), lead to Kim Deal of The Breeders wearing a t-shirt reading "Kill Gina Arnold".[citation needed] Despite much criticism of Arnold, by both her fellow critics and the reading public, she is one of the most prominent female rock critics in the United States.[citation needed]
