This article, which is taken almost verbatim from the website of Chax Press, one of Gil's publishers, is a decent start. See, for example, http://www.chax.org/poets/gallagher.htm for a nearly identical version. I have been on the Board of Directors of Chax Press and cannot imagine that Charles Alexander would have a problem with this. He may even have posted this himself.
