Gillies Range

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gillies Range is a section of the chain of summits that separate the Far North Queensland coastal plain from the interior Atherton Tableland. A pass permits road access (The Gillies Highway, famous for its 200+ corners in 20km of road) across the Gillies Range from the Goldsborough Valley near Gordonvale, to the Tableland. The Gillies Highway and Range were named after William N Gillies (Premier of Queensland)
